AFGHANISTAN, Feb. 15 – A high-level delegation of the IEA at special invitation and dinner and expected meeting in Doha, the capital of Qatar, met with the leader and members of the Union of Ulema-e-Muslimeen and a number of renowned and eminent scholars of the host country and discussed important issues.
Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Al-Risoni, the leader of the Union of Muslim Scholars, welcomed delegation of the Islamic Emirate and congratulated the new Islamic government in Afghanistan. Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, who led and represented the delegation, called the meeting an opportunity and fortunate and invited them to share their views, advice and observations. The leaders in their speeches praised the new government’s domestic and foreign policy in Afghanistan and called it in line with Islamic teachings, adding that the new government has address major personal, financial and social problems through the general amnesty initiative. The Ulema-e-Karamo made a number of recommendations to the IEA delegation and gave advice on enhancing the religious, educational, social, professional and economic capacity of the Afghan people. The gathering ended late at night with a long prayer for the prosperity and well-being of Afghanistan and the entire Muslim Ummah.
