According to the Bakhtar Agency correspondent, Herat’s handicrafts—including gilding, rosary making, enameling, carpet weaving, glass making, classical or Nooristani engraving, Khorasi, silver decoration, and other arts—are flourishing in the Dar al-Funun section of the city.

This art gallery, established with support from the Herat Department of Information and Culture and a group of artists, has now reached its peak. Alhaj Mawlawi Ahmadullah Muttaqi the head of information and culture in Herat, stated in an interview that the Islamic Emirate has consistently aimed to promote all industries, making numerous efforts in this direction.
