The Ghazni cricket team started its match against the Helmand team at the Kandahar National Cricket Stadium in the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan Second Class Provincial Tournament, which resulted in the victory of the Helmand team.
Ghazni batted first and lost all their wickets in the 40th over for 169 runs with Kamran Hussain Khel and Jan Mohammad Zargi scoring 35 and 20 runs respectively for Ghazni.
For Helmand, Abdul Wadud Akakhel excelled and took three wickets, while Dastgir and Shah Mohammad took two wickets and Mustafa Sangar one.
In chasing the above target, Helmand team played their best and completed the target without any loss by 10 wickets both opener completed their 50s, Sharifullah Barakzai making 72 runs while Qudratuallah Kakar made 68 runs.
Three players bowled for Ghazni but none of them took any wickets in favor of Ghazni. Sharifullah Barakzai was named the man of the match.
With this victory, the Helmand provincial team was able to make it to the top of the table in the first group of the ongoing second-tier competition and as the leading team in the group, making its way to the first-tier provincial competition Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan provincial competition.
