Mawlawi Adamjan Nomani, the head of public works department, has reported that progress has been made on the Kandahar-Uruzgan highway, with 40 kilometers of the roadway now having been paved and graveled.

Nomani stated that this roadway spans a total of 165 kilometers, with the initial 40-kilometer section undergoing paving and graveling works, specifically in the Shaolikot district of Kandahar, extending from Tanabchui to the Al Bakano region.

He further mentioned that the provincial authority is providing financial backing for the construction and graveling efforts, technical equipment is being supplied by the Department of Public Works, and the engineering tasks are being carried out by the 4th brigade of the National Army, in collaboration with several private companies.
