URUZGAN, Jan. 26 – The Governor of Uruzgan, Haji Dawat, held a coordination meeting with the representatives of humanitarian organizations at the Governor’s Office afternoon hours yesterday.
The paricipents included Manzara Ahmad Pakhtun, Head of Napa Foundation, Najibullah Fazli, head of Cahcr Foundation, Abdul Qadeem Raheel in charge of Cordaid Foundation, Engineer Mohammad Kabir Yaqubi in charge of RRAA Foundation, Mohibullah Zahid, the head of KRO Provincial Foundation and representatives of many other organizations and charities. It was decided at the meeting that a delegation from the representatives of all the organizations led by the representatives of the provinces would be appointed to work together in coordination against the natural disasters.
Haji Dawat, the governor of the province assured that the governor’s office will cooperate with the charitable organizations and called on aid agencies to extend their humanitarian assistance to remote areas of the province so that all those in need could benefit. Haji Dawat, the Governor of Uruzgan, also demanded that the humanitarian aid to Uruzgan be expedited and extended to the most vulnerable people living in remote areas of the province who are facing serious problems. Representatives of aid agencies in the province assured Haji Dawat that they would increase aid to Uruzgan and reach out to needy families in a transparent manner. The call for more humanitarian aid to Uruzgan comes at a time when Uruzgan, like other provinces, has been hit by recent floods.
