LOGAR, Dec. 31 – Al-Emarah News says at least 8 puppets have been killed and 3 others were wounded with 2 tanks destroyed as the enemy operation ended in rout in Charkh district of Logar province, adding there have been fighting in Charkh distict of the province over the last few days.
It further said, there were severe clashes after the enemy deployed fresh forces in the said district yesterday in which 8 puppets including 3 commanders were killed and a further 3 sustained wounds, while two of the enemy tanks were shot and destroyed after coming under Mujahideen rocket fires.
General Zarq commanding the operation in Charkh district suffered life-threatening wounds in the fighting and later died of the injuries.
Similarly, a Mujahid fighter embraced martyrdom with three others being wounded in the entire fighting.
Separately, an Arbaki was killed and one wounded in a bomb attack in the provincial capital of Logar province on Saturday.
In another report, unknown number of the enemy suffered casualties with two tanks destroyed in a series of Mujahideen attacks in Mohammad Agha district of Logar province last night.
