HELMAND, Sep. 02 – Yesterday, a grand gathering was held in the camp area of Marjah district of Helmand province in honor of the end of 20 years of Afghan occupation and remembrance of late Amir-ul-Momineen Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujahid (may God have mercy on him).
The gathering, which was attended by local religious scholars, officials, and ordinary Muslims, began with the recitation of a number of verses from the Holy Quran.
The religious scholars, delivered keynote speeches on the end of the 20-year Afghan occupation and independence, and called on the people to support the Islamic Emirate.
On the occasion of the victory prayers for the founder of the Islamic Emirate, late Amir-ul-Momineen Mullah Mohammad Omar Mujahid and the great martyr Amir-ul-Momineen Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor (may God have mercy on him),were recited.
