KABUL, Aug. 24 – The Director of the Institute of Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Suhail Mehmood leading a delegation accompanied by Mr. Obaidurrehman Nizamani, the Chargé d’Affaires of Pakistan in Kabul, called on the Minister of Foreign affairs, Mawlawi Amir khan Muttaqi, said deputy spoksman of the ministry of foreign affairs’.
To begin, FM Muttaqi said that Afghanistan and Pakistan are two brotherly and neighboring countries having many commonalities. Therefore, the relation between the two countries is based on good neighborliness and understanding, adding that some problems are causing frictions in the relations between the two countries. Thus, rather than making media outbursts, it is better find the main causes of these problems. Elaborating further, FM Muttaqi said that peace and stability in Afghanistan was our greatest wish.
Since peace and stability have been ensured in Afghanistan today, now our wish is that peace and stability be ensured in the entire region. Heightening on the progress made in the area of trade, FM Muttaqi said that in the past two years, we have made much progress in trade relations with Pakistan, and the geographical location of Afghanistan has brought about many opportunities for both countries, which should be taken advantage of.
FM Muttaqi said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan remains committed and gives assurance that no one will be harmed from the territory of Afghanistan, and we should not doubt the goodwill of each other and avoid all kinds of Mr. Sohail Mehmood, the head of the delegation, appreciated the progress IEA made in ensuring overall security in the country, banning drug cultivation,
