The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan has issued a strong statement refuting claims made by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Security Council regarding a terrorism threat emanating from Afghanistan to the region and the world. The ministry categorically denied the allegations, emphasizing that the Islamic Emirate has eradicated all safe havens for ISIS and other terrorist groups within the country.

In its statement, the ministry reassured the international community that Afghanistan’s territory poses no threat to any nation. It highlighted that since the Islamic Emirate came to power, significant strides have been made in eliminating terrorist hideouts, ensuring regional and global security.

The statement further clarified, “If any security incident occurs in Afghanistan, the perpetrators have crossed the Durand Line,” indirectly pointing to external factors contributing to instability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also underscored that Afghanistan’s progress in establishing security, political stability, and economic development after decades of conflict cannot be undermined by such baseless accusations. It described Pakistan’s claims as “failed efforts” aimed at hindering Afghanistan’s path to peace and prosperity.

The statement reaffirmed Afghanistan’s commitment to maintaining regional stability and called for constructive engagement to address shared security challenges.
