Foreign Ministry expresses concern on clashes between Tjikistan and Kyrghistan

Ministry of Foriegn Affiars of the Islamic Emirate considers recent border clashes between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan alarming and expresses regret for the casualties, said Abdul Qahar the spoksman of the ministry.

These clashes have caused problems for civilians on both sides, particularly, leading to the displacement of thousands of civilians on the Kyrgyz side. The casualties and displacement of civilians is unfortunate, he added.

The Islamic Emirate calls on both sides to resolve border issues through dialogue and understanding. Continued clashes can undermine the security and stability of the entire region. The people on both sides of the border should not be victimized or forced to be displaced.
