KABUL, Mar. 11 – Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar, and Tom West, US Special Envoy and accompanying delegation held a trilateral meeting in Antlya city of Turki.
The meeting was also attended by Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, the acting Minister of Information and Culture of Afghanistan.
The participants called the Antalya Forum a good opportunity for developing contacts.
The Afghan side termed the situation of the country more conducive to positive and diplomatic engagement with the international community than ever before, while adding that recognizing the new Afghan government and freeing Afghan asset is a legitimate right of Afghan people that also promotes political relations and the economy.
The Foreign Minister of Qatar expressed about the diplomatic mission of Qatar and the United States of America in Afghanistan and called such meetings beneficial for the parties.
The US envoy to Afghanistan highlighted its forthcoming policy and added that they are trying to get Afghanistan’s economy back on the track.
