KABUL, Oct. 30 – Foreign Minister of the IEA Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Mr. Hakan Fadan in Ankara, the capital of Turkey, said Abdul Qahar Balkhi the spokesman of the foreign ministry.
In the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral and diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Turkey, new trade corridors, and many regional issues.
Both foreign ministers emphasized on such meetings and cooperation with each other
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan thanked the Turkish country for its assistance and called the reception of new Afghan diplomats in Ankara and Istanbul a good development in bilateral relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey said that both countries are like two brothers and Turkey will continue its friendship with Afghanistan. He insisted that there should be no more armed opposition in Afghanistan while expressed his readiness to cooperate with the Afghan government in various fields for capacity building.
