As per a statement of the ministry of foreign affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, held a meeting with Mr. Qais bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, the Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment of the Sultanate of Oman, in Muscat, the capital city.
The discussion centered on strategies to boost trade, investment, and transit connections between the two nations. During the meeting, both parties reached an agreement on facilitating the exchange of trade delegations and fostering collaboration within the private sectors of Afghanistan and Oman.
Furthermore, the officials deliberated on enhancing the trade of exports and imports between Afghanistan and Oman, along with addressing matters related to agriculture, food security, trade, and transportation.
It was mutually decided that joint working groups and specialized agencies would commence technical dialogues in these specific areas.
