KABUL, Mar. 13 – Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov today, says Abdul Qahar Balkhi the spokesman of Foreign Ministry.
The meeting, which was also attended by the Minister of Information and Culture, Mr. Khair Khawa, discussed trade, economic relations between the two neighboring countries and the increasing relations between Central Asia and Afghanistan in the future.
Mr Kamilov termed security and unity in Afghanistan a great opportunity for Central Asian and South Asian nations to pursue major projects in their trade, energy, transport and other economic sectors.
Minister Muttaqi stressed that in the rapidly changing political, economic and security situation of the world, the countries of the region need to increase mutual trust in order to save the region from the negative effects of war and political differences.
