The Turkmenistan ambassador and the director of the TAPI company, Mohammad Murad Amanov, held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlawi Amir Khan Mottaqi here in Kabul today, says Hafiz Zia Ahamad Takal the deputy spoksman of the foreign ministry.
During this discussion, the two nations deliberated on the latest arrangements for extending the TAPI pipeline in Afghanistan’s borders. The Foreign Affairs Minister assured the Turkmen delegation that advancing the TAPI pipeline within Afghanistan is a key priority, with various Afghan agencies having finished the necessary groundwork related to the project.
Mawalwi Amir Khan Muttaqi expressed optimism that the practical phase of extending the TAPI pipeline in Afghanistan will soon commence.
Mohammad Murad Amanov, the Executive Director of TAPI Company, highlighted that Turkmenistan has already extended the pipeline to the Afghan border within its own territory, affirming that preparations for extending the TAPI pipeline into Afghanistan are nearing completion and practical work will commence shortly.
