KABUL, July. 15 – The Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Mr. Dmitri Zhirnov, met today with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi.
The Russian ambassador breifed about the upcoming Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan and invited the foreign minister to participate in the next meeting of the Moscow format regarding Afghanistan.
F MMuttaqi expressed his gratitude to Russia for the invitation and added that the Moscow format plays an important role in establishing coordination between the regions adding that the delegation of the Afghan government had also participated in the previous meetings in Moscow.
Muttaqi expressed hope that Kabul and Moscow will make good use of this meeting in the framework of diplomatic relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs demanded from Russian ambassador to facilitate visas so that traders and other Afghans can easily travel to Russia.
