The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Ali Bagheri Kani, engaged in a telephone conversation with Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi the esteemed Minister of Foreign Affairs of the IEA, according to Abdul Qahar Balkhi the spokesman of foreign ministry.

 

According to Mr. Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation and collaboration in the realms of economy and politics.

In a statement shared on his official page on Tuesday, Mr. Balkhi conveyed that the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran expressed appreciation for the participation of supporters of the Islamic Emirate in the funeral ceremony of Iran’s former President. He regarded this visit as a testament to the positive relations between the two countries.

 

Furthermore, the esteemed Mawawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, emphasized Afghanistan’s status as a sovereign and independent nation, highlighting that interference in its internal affairs does not serve the interests of any country. He stressed the importance of fostering effective progress through cooperation, understanding, and mutual consultation.
