Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, engaged in discussions with the Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs for the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Mohammad Reza Bahrami, alongside the Iranian Ambassador to Kabul.

During this meeting, a wide range of topics were deliberated upon, including the initiation of a new phase in the relationship between the two nations, recent developments, water-related issues, and the circumstances of Afghan refugees residing in Iran.

The Foreign Affairs Minister of Afghanistan characterized the country’s ties with Iran as advancing, emphasizing the importance of both nations maximizing the opportunities available to them.

Mr. Bahrami, in response, highlighted a fresh era in bilateral relations following the recent visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Kabul, underscoring the potential for effective management of mutual affairs by both countries.
