KABUL, Dec. 24 – Addressing a high-level consultative political conference held in Tehran, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, expressed strong criticism of the international humanitarian organizations’ double standards and their silence regarding the Palestine issue. He referred to these organizations as politically motivated and corrupt entities. In his speech at the conference, Minister Muttaqi highlighted the exploitation of these organizations for political purposes in the context of Palestine. He argued that the current international order, established after World War II, fails to address the pressing human needs of the 21st century due to numerous violations. The minister pointed out the alarming fact that despite the presence of numerous international humanitarian organizations, over 20,000 individuals, including women and children, were killed during the 78-day massacre in Gaza deeming the situation as intolerable. Emphasizing the necessity for a new international order based on justice and equality, Muttaqi stressed the importance of safeguarding human rights and eliminating the possibility of their political manipulation. It is notable that this international conference on the Palestine issue, organized under the auspices of Iran, brought together representatives from approximately 50 countries.
