The initial shipment of locally produced medicine from Afghanistan to Arab countries marks a significant milestone, highlighting progress towards achieving self-sufficiency in domestic production.

Professor Sultan Ahmed Turki, a member of the board of directors of Pharma Citical manufacturing company in Herat, announced that they have successfully exported 1,800,000 bottles of serum to Iraq, marking the first such export for the country.

In support of domestic industrialists and producers, Al-Haj Mawlawi Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, the deputy governor of the province, emphasized that the current government has provided necessary facilities to facilitate domestic production. He encouraged domestic investors to seize this opportunity for the betterment and development of the country.

Expressing enthusiasm for the increased exports of pharmaceutical products abroad, he welcomed the efforts of the Islamic Emirate in fostering a culture of utilizing domestic products. Alhaj Mawlawi Ahmadullah Muttaqi the head of Herat information and culture also urged the companies in Herat Industrial City to prioritize and focus on maintaining high-quality standards. This, he emphasized, would demonstrate to the world that Afghanistan possesses the capability to manufacture superior medicines.

The venture of exporting medicine produced within the country signifies a positive step towards strengthening the domestic pharmaceutical industry and promoting economic growth in Afghanistan.
