The first phase of renovating the new building for the Kandahar Department of Information and Culture Museum has been completed. Mawlwai Inamullah Samangani, the head of information and culture, told media that this initial phase, which included painting the building, installing doors, and adding decorations, is now finished. The second phase will commence soon, involving the cleaning of the new building and the transfer and placement of historical artifacts and exhibitions from the old location.
It is noteworthy that the renovation work for the museum’s new building is being overseen by the Ministry of Information and Culture and the Afghanistan Cultural Heritage Protection and Research Institute (CHACRI), under the supervision of the Kandahar Department of Information and Culture. The project began a few months ago, and the remaining work is expected to be completed shortly.
