In a significant development, the Diamand Bast international Pharma human medicine factory commenced operations today at the Sardar Gul Muhammad Khan Industrial Park in Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand province. The event saw the participation of various dignitaries, including Maulvi Sher Muhammad Wahdat, the information department’s director, Mawlawi Ahmad Qaid from urban governance, business leader Ghulam Yahya Pashtun, Dr. Mohammad Wais from the Ahmad Shah Baba Institute, scholars, officials, traders, and local residents, with the ceremony commencing with recitations from the Holy Quran.

Saidoli Jahani, the factory’s supervisor, revealed to media that the factory, valued at 30 million Afghanis, directly employs 20 workers and indirectly supports 200 more. Jahani expressed plans for further expansion and diversification in pharmaceutical production.

Minister Wahdat highlighted the era of reconstruction following decades of conflict, urging Helmand investors to capitalize on the newfound security under the Islamic Emirate for provincial advancement.

Dr. Mohammad Weis emphasized the significance of the newly operational medicine factory, urging officials to address community needs effectively.

Business leader Mr. Pashtun underscored the opportunities for industrial growth under the Islamic Emirate, foreseeing increased employment prospects for the youth.

Religious scholar Alhaji Sheikh Maulvi Abdul Hanan Sahib stressed the vital role of industry in national progress, urging local industrialists and traders to contribute to the country’s development.

Workers Salimullah and Abdul Wasi expressed gratitude for their roles in the factory, pledging dedication to serving their community.

The resurgence of factories and job opportunities under the Islamic Emirate has been notable since its return to power, marking a positive shift in the country’s industrial landscape.

The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer, symbolizing hope and progress for Helmand’s economic and industrial future.
