First direct shipment arrives from China to Afghanistan

Thanks to the ongoing diplomatic efforts and visits by the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to China, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, the initial consignment of commercial products has reached Afghanistan directly from China via train. This delivery, comprising 55 containers, was dispatched from China, traversed through Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and arrived in the northern city of Mazar-e-Sharif today.

A ceremony commemorating this event took place in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, attended by the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce and his accompanying delegation, the Deputy Governor of Balkh province, the Director of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment, as well as other dignitaries. Notably, this commercial shipment completed its journey to Afghanistan in a total of 22 days and is slated to transport some of the nation’s export goods to the respective countries during its return trip.
