Officials from the Herat Electricity Company have reported that 80 percent of the work on extending a new 110 KV power line from Turkmenistan to Herat city has been completed. Once the extension project is finished, the line will be connected to the Noorul Jihad substation. It is worth noting that a significant portion of the electricity consumed by the residents of Herat is currently sourced from Iran and Turkmenistan.
