KANDAHAR, Sep. 16 – Amid ongoing ‘Operation Omari’, Mujahideen carried out coordinated attacks against enemy positions in the surroundings of Shawalikot district overnight.

Attacks of heavy and light arms resulting in 2 bases and 32 check posts overrun forcing the enemy to flee after taking heavy fatalities.

According to details, about 5 check posts have been overrun in Bakhto Nawa area, 5 motorbikes and all equipment seized. Likewise, 2 ANA bases and 27 check posts laying along Tarinkot road were overrun after a brief resistance. An APC, 2 rangers and good deal of ammo, uniform and other tolls were confiscated.

Enemy fleeing connected Mujahideen of lower and upper shalwaikot and a large area including Tarknot road came under the control of Mujahideen.
