NIMROZ, Dec. 21 – A meeting of the Emergency Committee was held in Nimroz under the chairmanship of Ghulam Nabi Osmani, Deputy Governor of the province along with members of the committee and officials of provincial organizations.

The meeting, which was held in the assembly hall of the governor’s office, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Mawlawi Mohammad Qasim Mohammad, director of the Disaster Management Authority, told the gathering that there was a shortage of drinking water in some areas and that the current drought could not be managed.

Mr. Mohammad also requested cooperation of the provincial organizations adding that in the next few weeks, 1500 families will be surveyed and assisted by the provincial department.

Mawlawi Yar Mohammad Haqyar, Director of Education also addressed the meeting and said that every responsible person should do his duty to solve the problems so as to facilitate the nation.

The head of the Red Crescent and provincial representatives of the organizations, promised comprehensive cooperation. Lastely deputy Governor Ghulam Nabi “Osmani” urged the participants to establish good relations with the people He also talked in detail about the solution.
