LOGAR, Nov. 26 – Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Honorable Alhaj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, led a high-ranking delegation, visited Mes Aynak mine in Logar province on Saturday.
The delegation consist of honorable ministers of the Ministries of Mines and Petroleum, Economy, Industry and Trade, Communications and Information Technology, the head of the affairs department and security officials visited different parts of Mes Aynak mine.
Al-Hajj Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund called Mes Aynak mine an important economic source for the country, and called on China to start the practical work of the said mine as soon as possible.
The delegation also met with the officials of the project contractor MCC.
In the end, the delegation visited the ancient areas of this mine and made necessary recommendations to the relevant officials about the transportation of the ancient artifacts.
