KABUL, Feb. 20 – The Economic Commission, chaired by the First Deputy Prime Minister, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, has instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to take effective steps to control the quality of food and medicine imported into the country.

The Economic Commission also decided that in order to control the quality and prices of imported petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas, a joint committee of state oil and liquefied natural gas companies, relevant ministries and the National Standards Institution should be formed.

The Commission also approved a proposal to form transport unions.
