HERAT, Oct. 08 – On the 22nd of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 12 villages of Zinda Jan district of Herat province and some parts of Bala Murghab district in Badghis suffered massive personal and financial losses due to a severe earthquake.
The ministry of national defence of the IEA and other relative departments and socities , health team and volunteers reached the area on time and provided first humanitarian aid and health services to the people affected by the earthquake.
The latest information of the Afghan Red Crescent shows that more than 400 people have lost lievs in the earthquake and hundreds more have been injured.
It is worth noting that the above numbers may increase because the villages related to the said area (Kashkak, Siah Ab and Sin Jo) have been completely destroyed and the staff of the Afghan Red Crescent are still searching for rare items in the area and under the dust and residents are busy evacuating.
