Dozens of travelers trapped by massive snowfall along road rescued

GHAZNI, Feb. 5 – Al-Emarah News says 300 travelers were rescued by Mujahideen and volunteers after they became trapped in the heavy snowfall in Gilan district of Ghazni province last night.

Rescue time of Mujahideen accompanied by volunteers from common people managed reach the travelers along Kabul-Kandahar highway and found them in freezing condition. Children, women and elderly and ailing people were taken by the volunteers to their homes while those remained in the area were provided with warm blankets, quilts, clothing and food stuff.

Similarly, a large number of the people trapped along Kabul-Kandahar highway in the limits of Qarabagh district were rescued by Mujahideen and volunteers.
So far over 300 people have been rescued and the efforts are underway to rescue more.

This comes as Mujahideen carried several dozen people to safety and rescued them after they were caught in heavy snowfall in Shah Jowi district of Zabul.
