District center, posts under attacks in Kunar 

KUNAR, Jan. 24 – The Islamic Emirate’s Mujahideen have initiated attacks on the center of the district of Chapa Darah and its check points, triggering severe fighting in Kunar province.

The operation began early Wednesday after Mujahideen raided a base and checkpoints followed by attacks on the district headquarters Chapa Darah. An unknown number of the enemy soldiers suffered casualties.

Sadly a child was martyred and two children of the same family were wounded when the enemy pounded the homes of civilians with mortar rounds.
