HERAT, Nov. 05 – In an interview with local media, Maulana Naeem-ul-Haq Haqqani, Herat’s director of information and culture, announced the launch of a number of projects in Herat province, including the TAPI project.
Maulana Naeem-ul-Haq Haqqani, acting director of the information and culture department in Herat province, said, Turkmen Foreign Minister met in Kabul with deputu Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund and promised to start work on the TAPI project soon.
Maulana Haqqani, welcomed the commitment of the Islamic Emirate’s officials in the capital to launch the TAPI project and promised that the Islamic Emirate would pay more attention to it.
Meanwhile, residents of Herat province welcomed the pledge and called on the authorities to start such projects as soon as possible adding that the implementation of infrastructure projects in the country, including TAPI, would not only boost economic development but also provide jobs for thousands of people.
Herat is located on the TAPI project route in the west of the country, which will transport gas from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India.
With the launch of the TAPI project, thousands of jobs will be created and huge economic growth will take place in the country.
