The Director General of the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) Project in Afghanistan, along with the Consul General of Turkmenistan in Herat, convened with Sheikh Maulana Islamjar, the Governor of Herat, to discuss the transfer and initiation of technical equipment for practical operations of the TAPI project in Afghanistan.

Baganch Abdullahev, heading the TAPI project in Afghanistan, and his team presented a detailed inventory of machinery and technical tools designated for transfer to Herat to Sheikh Maulana Islamjar, announcing plans to survey a 153-kilometer segment of the TAPI gas pipeline.

 

As per the Turkmen delegation, a group comprising engineers and technical personnel from Turkmen Gas is set to be dispatched to the site in the upcoming week. They requested the local authorities to facilitate the transportation of equipment and establish temporary accommodations for the engineers.

 

Conversely, Governor Sheikh Maulana Islamjar of Herat expressed enthusiasm for the proposed joint port establishment in the border region of Aslim Cheshmeh for transporting the pipeline and equipment for the TAPI project into Afghanistan. He assured the Turkmen delegation of providing essential amenities and ensuring the security of the TAPI project.
