WARDAK, Mar. 09 – The Department of Rural Reconstruction and Development of Maidan Wardag Province and under the framework of the Social Support and Livelihood Program of Afghanistan by the ACTED Institute, six projects worth 4.8 million AFN of roads, paths, canal cleaning and drinking water supply have been started in the center of Maidan city and Jalriz district of the said Province.

These projects are being implemented in Khana Khamar, Fateh, Amarkhelo Kala of Center Maidan City and Qala Safid and Gormak villages of Jalreez District. The projects are supposed to provide employment to over 150 workers.

It is worth mentioning that by cleaning the said canals, around 300 acres of agricultural land of the residents of the area will be irrigated and dozens of families will benefit from the remaining projects in the future.
