The Deputy Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, met with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, Abdullah Arifov, during his visit to Uzbekistan yesterday.
In the meeting, which was also attended by a number of senior officials of that country, Deputy Prime Minister, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, expressed his pleasure at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan and emphasized the development of political, economic, cultural and trade relations between the two countries.
The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan,, welcomed the delegation and expressed his country’s interest in the mining and transit of trade goods between Afghanistan and other countries.
He said that the implementation of the Afghan-Trans mega project will bring great benefits to all the countries involved, including Afghanistan.
At the end of this meeting, the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister for Administration, while appreciating the welcome and views of the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan, said that trade between the two countries has flourished better than ever, which has led to the development of mutual interests and relations in various fields between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
