KABUL, Mar. 09 – First Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar met with OIC Special Representative Tariq Ali Bakhtiar today.
During the meeting, Mr. Baradar and Mr. Tariq Ali Bakhtiar discussed humanitarian assistance, women’s education, fight against corruption, and the implementation of infrastructure projects in Afghanistan.
The deputy PM, appreciated the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which has just reopened its office in Afghanistan and started operating.
The Special Representative of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) said that the international community now understands that serious steps have been taken to curb corruption in Afghanistan.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is looking at Afghanistan as an important member and is setting up a fund for humanitarian aid to Afghanistan, which will be opened in the near future he added.
