Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Meets with Russian and Afghan Businessmen

Today, on August 22, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, met with several Russian and Afghan businessmen in his office to discuss trade and investment opportunities. During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that Afghanistan currently offers numerous opportunities for trade and investment, encouraging both domestic and foreign investors to take advantage of these prospects. He acknowledged that although Afghanistan is a poor country, it is rich in natural resources, making it an attractive destination for investment. He reiterated the government’s consistent invitation to both local and international investors to come to Afghanistan to invest in various sectors or to expand their commercial activities.

The Russian businessmen expressed their interest in investing in different sectors of Afghanistan, particularly in the industrial sector. They also expressed their desire to enhance their trade cooperation with Afghan businessmen.
