The Japanese ambassador highlighted the longstanding historical relationship between Japan and Afghanistan, expressing their country’s interest in cultivating strong ties with Afghanistan. He emphasized Japan’s desire to play a significant role in fostering closer relations between Afghanistan and the international community.

The Japanese ambassador reassured Afghanistan of continued humanitarian assistance and expressed readiness to implement projects in areas such as reconstruction, economic development, health, and capacity building. Mr. Kuromiya acknowledged that Afghanistan has made considerable progress in the past two years, emphasizing the presence of a unified governance system and global security. He noted that Japan, along with other countries, recognizes these achievements.

During the visit, the Deputy Political Minister of Afghanistan expressed gratitude to Japan for its humanitarian aid and emphasized the importance of its continuation. He acknowledged Japan’s support for peace, stability, and development in Afghanistan and stressed the need for continued cooperation in infrastructure development and pilot projects. The Deputy Minister of Political Affairs affirmed that the Islamic Emirate provides services to all Afghans without discrimination.

Furthermore, he emphasized the Islamic Emirate’s policy of not presenting Afghanistan as a threat to any nation and not allowing Afghanistan to be used against others. He reiterated the Islamic Emirate’s belief in dialogue and a commitment to resolving issues through peaceful means. He stated that the Islamic Emirate respects the concerns of all countries and stands ready to address those concerns through diplomatic channels.
