Deputy Political PM Holds Meeting with Turkish Ambassador to Kabul

KABUL, Jan. 18 – Honorable Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Political Deputy Prime Minister of the IEA, met today with Mr. Janak Onal, the Turkish Ambassador in Kabul, says office of the chief of staff.

During the meeting, the Turkish ambassador emphasized the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Turkey, expressing Turkey’s readiness to support Afghanistan through investments in mining, electricity, and agriculture sectors. The ambassador also highlighted Turkey’s willingness to cooperate with Afghanistan in the field of education and higher education, emphasizing their commitment to Afghanistan’s development.

The Turkish ambassador reassured that his country strictly prohibits any political or military activities against the Islamic Emirate within Turkish territory.

The Political Deputy of the Minister’s Department, expressed gratitude to Turkey for its assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan. He acknowledged the favorable investment opportunities provided to Turkish investors in Afghanistan since the establishment of the Islamic Emirate.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir further affirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to fostering positive relations with all nations and emphasized its efforts to expand economic and transit relations within the region. He expressed appreciation for Turkey’s stance on not permitting any military or political movements against the Islamic Emirate.

The meeting between Honorable Maulvi Abdul Kabir and the Turkish ambassador signifies the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between Afghanistan and Turkey, particularly in the areas of investment, education, and mutual support for development.
