Deputy PM Visits Balkh province

BALKH, Jan. 12 – Honorable Alhaj Mulla Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic affairs visited Balkh province today.

The deputy PM was accompanied by the Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum, Sheikh Shahabuddin Dilawar, the governors of Saripul, Samangan and Balkh provinces, the deputy governor of Jawzjan, the provincial chiefs of mines and 209 Al-Fath Corps.

The deputy PM met with the official and made the necessary recommendations regarding transparency in mining, transfer and implementation of contracts, especially the speed, transparency and technical extraction of coal.

Mr. Bradar told the participants of the assembly that mines are the capital of this country and the basic source of national revenue, do your best to protect this national wealth and ensure transparency.

The deputy PM also advised the security officials to pay full attention to the security of domestic and foreign contractors in the respective provinces and not allow anyone to disturb the efforts being made for the development of the country.
