KABUL, June. 05 – Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Deputy Prime Minister of the IEA met with Deborah Lyons, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, and her delegation at Presentational palace this afternoon.
Ms. Lyons briefed on recent meetings with representatives of donor countries in Doha and her visits to Central Asian countries.

The meeting also discussed various issues, including the humanitarian situation, support for the agricultural sector, banking, and preparedness for the recent outbreak of plague in some countries in the region.

Mr. Hanafi appreciates Ms. Lyons’s efforts in the field of human condition; He stressed the need to strengthen the agricultural system and solve banking problems immediately.

Mr. Hanafi reiterated that the Islamic Emirate wants good relations with neighboring countries, the region and the world, and is interested in expanding relations based on mutual respect.

The Islamic Emirate does not interfere in the internal affairs of any country based on its policy, and in return expects other countries not to interfere in the internal affairs of Afghanistan he added.
