Former Indonesian Vice President and Head of the Council of Mosques, Dr. Jusuf Kalla, along with his delegation, held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlawi Abdul Salaam Hanafi to discuss the ongoing developments in Afghanistan. Dr. Kalla expressed satisfaction with the progress made and assured Indonesia’s continuous support. He also expressed Indonesia’s willingness to invest in sectors such as education and mining.

 

Dr. Kalla commended the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) for effectively addressing the country’s challenges, considering it as a positive example. He announced scholarships for Afghan youth from Indonesia and emphasized the importance of accurate information about Afghanistan in international forums.

 

Deputy Prime Minister Mawlawi Abdul Salaam Hanafi welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for Indonesia’s support. He highlighted the achievements of the IEA, including ensuring security, combating drug-related activities and corruption, and providing support for vulnerable groups. Hanafi also mentioned various development projects being implemented across the country.

 

He reaffirmed the IEA’s commitment to Afghanistan’s development and progress and addressed the spread of misinformation about the country. Hanafi expressed the IEA’s desire for positive relations with all nations, particularly emphasizing the importance of strong ties with Indonesia.
