KABUL, May. 21 – Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, met this evening with Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan Anders Lindman at the presidential palace.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, called the relations between Afghanistan and Norway friendly and referred to its historical past.

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir’s Norwegian efforts towards Afghanistan, especially the recent meeting on Afghanistan in Oslo and the direct meeting of the Islamic Emirate delegation with the officials of the European Union and Afghan civil society living in Europe, to establish understanding and Norwegian assistance in the field Minesweeper expressed gratitude.

The political deputy prime minister added that the Islamic Emirate wants good relations with all countries, including Norway.

 

Norwegian Ambassador to Afghanistan Anders Lindman expressed that his country wants good relations with Afghanistan, lasting friendship, joint work and political interaction. He added: “Norway does not support any military opposition against the Islamic Emirate.”

According to Anders Lindman, friendly relations between Norway and Afghanistan require friendly political discussions and contacts.

He asked Mawlawi Abdul Kabir for information on women’s work in government offices, girls’ education, hijab, inclusive government, the procedure of the Commission for Liaison with Afghan Figures and the recent removal of a number of institutions from the IEA.

The meeting ended in the hope of lasting relations between the two sides.
