KABUL, Aug. 15 – During visit to Turkey, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate engaged in a productive meeting with Mr. Mahmut Asmalı, President of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), alongside a delegation of Afghan and Turkish business figures.

The meeting took place at the headquarters of MÜSİAD. Attending the gathering were not only Afghan entrepreneurs and Turkish investors, but also executives and representatives from prominent companies across diverse sectors such as construction materials, power generation, telecommunications, infrastructure development, dams, agriculture, and logistics.

These participants brought with them extensive and successful expertise within their respective fields. During the session, Deputy Prime Minister Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund extended an invitation to Turkish investors, encouraging them to explore investment opportunities in Afghanistan.

He emphasized the recent improvements in Afghanistan’s investment climate, highlighting that Turkish investors should capitalize on this favorable situation. Mahmut Asmalı, as the leader of MÜSİAD, lent his voice to the call for increased Turkish investment in Afghanistan. He urged Turkish entrepreneurs to consider venturing into various sectors in Afghanistan, underscoring the potential benefits waiting to be reaped. Furthermore, Mr. Asmalı emphasized that the ongoing enhancement of security in Afghanistan has opened up avenues for investment, spurring facilities across multiple sectors.

The meeting served as a platform for the comprehensive exchange of information between Turkish investors and Afghan officials. Pertaining to investment prospects within Afghanistan, attendees received extensive insights, and the Islamic Emirate affirmed their unwavering cooperation and support.

It’s noteworthy to mention that MÜSİAD, established in 1990, stands as a non-governmental organization representing Turkish industrialists and businesspersons, operating across 72 countries.
