KABUL, June. 06 – Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Beradar Akhund chaired the 21st meeting of economic commission.

In the meeting after a detailed discussion, the Kabul Municipality was directed to open bids for those six partnership projects for which the municipality seeks initial approval from the Economic Commission. The Economic Commission also decided to enter into a memorandum of understanding with DP World to modernize Afghanistan’s ports and facilitate Afghanistan’s exports.

At the meeting of the Economic Commission, the Afghanistan Railway Authority was allowed to tender for the renewal of Hairatan Railway Services Project contract.

The Afghanistan Railway Authority has said that the Afghan side should have full responsibility of the Hairatan railway and a contract will be signed with another company to provide the services.
