The Deputy minister of public works for Railway, Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, held a meeting with Zafar Narzilov, the General Director of Uzbekistan Railways, at Hairtaan port.
According to Mr. Mohammad Ashraf Haqshanas, the Ministry of Public works spokesperson, discussions during this meeting centered on the restoration of both rail and non-rail sectors at Hairatan port. The talks also covered the expeditious handling of transfers, the utilization of renovated port sections, and the ongoing railway collaboration between the two nations, emphasizing trade, transit, and the enhancement of economic ties.
Mr. Haqshanas further stated that the Director General of Uzbekistan Railways pledged to not only repair the damaged portions of the Durahi “Level Crossing” at Hairatan Port but also offer training to 20 Ministry of Public Works employees across various railway segments.
Additionally, as per Haqshanas, the Deputy director of Afghanistan Railways inspected the construction progress of the Qush Tepa-Darzab road during his visit.
