The Deputy Minister of Public Works for Railways, Mawlawi Mohammad Ishaq Sahibzada, made an official visit to Uzbekistan following the country’s invitation to enhance railway cooperation.

Mohammad Ashraf Haqshenas, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works, stated that during this trip, Mr. Sahibzada engaged in separate discussions with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Transport, Ilham Mukhamomov, the Director of the Railway Administration, Narzlov Zafarghiasevich, and the Deputy Director of the same Administration, Hekmatullah Rahmatov.

As per Mr. Haqshenas, these meetings centered on the initiation of the Afghan-Trans project, the augmentation of trade and exports through the Hairatan-Mazar-e-Sharif railway, and the extension of railway cooperation.
