Today, Mawlawi Sadr Azam Usmani, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, engaged in discussions with Ms. Deville, the UNDP Resident Representative for Afghanistan, and her accompanying delegation to assess the advancement of agricultural initiatives.

The meeting took place at the Ministry of Agriculture’s headquarters, serving as a platform for deliberations on the development of greenhouses in Takhta Pul district of Kandahar, Hesarak district of Nangarhar, and additional provinces.

At the onset of the session, the UNDP project manager furnished updates on the 70 percent completion of the Takhta Pul greenhouse before delving into specifics about the Hesarak greenhouse and other greenhouse projects across various provinces.

Subsequently, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock expressed his insights and urged UNDP officials to prioritize efficiency, transparency, and quality throughout project implementation. He emphasized the importance of seamless coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture to ensure the success of these agricultural endeavors.
