KABUL, Dec. 17 – Political deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alhaj Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanakzi, talked with special representative of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, Asmatullah Ergashov, on phone regarding problems in electric supply from Uzbekistan.

Mr. Stanakzi expressed concern the decrease in the imported electricity of Uzbekistan, arising problems in several provinces of the country, including the capital Kabul, in the winter season, urging the Uzbek side to bring the level of import of electricity to the level agreed upon between the two countries.

Mr. Asmatullah Ergashov acknowledged the problem and added that he had talked to the Ministry of Electricity of Uzbekistan in this regard and efforts underway to increase the level of electricity to Afghanistan.
