KABUL, Aug. 13 – Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan during his visit to Türkiye, engaged in a productive meeting with Mr. Omer Bolat, the Minister of Trade of Türkiye.
The discussions between the two sides encompassed matters of trade, investment, regional connectivity, and the advancement of economic collaboration between the two nations.
Addressing the gathering, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, underscored the enduring bond between Afghanistan and Türkiye, emphasizing their historical camaraderie. He highlighted the current opportunity to amplify these relations, stressing the mutual imperative for both parties to harness this potential.
During this visit, Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, elaborated on the augmentation of trade ties with Türkiye, the promotion of investments in industrial zones, the nurturing of small and medium-sized enterprises, the establishment of an air corridor linking the two countries, and the organization of exhibitions.
He advocated for the establishment of a joint chamber of commerce as well as increased Turkish investment in Afghanistan. Mr. Omer Bolat, the Minister of Trade for Türkiye, provided reassurance to Deputy PM for Economic Affairs, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, regarding the expansion of bilateral trade and the facilitation of investments from Turkish sources into Afghanistan.
He affirmed that all relevant agencies would collaborate diligently to realize these objectives.
